Golf is becoming extremely popular in Netherlands. The number of golfers in Netherlands takes explosive and golf is one of the fastest growing sports in country. With approximately 375.000 players, golf is believed to be the third most popular sport in our country. It is almost not possible to play golf in Netherlands without a golf license or Handicap; only a few golf clubs let golfers without this evidence. These are also public golf courses. If foreigners want to play golf in Netherlands then it is important that they can demonstrate that they are members of a golf club or their handicap registration.

Netherlands is very flat, so don't expect that many will know the golf courses height difference. Most likely to find in the height difference in the province of South Limburg. The Netherlands has the highest golfer per course ratio of Europe.

16 Golf - Residentie Brunsummerheide (140 minutes)



Located between the nature reserves and the Woods at Schinveld, Brunssummerheide is located since 1985 by Dutch standards a unique 45 hole golf course. Old plots with conifers, interspersed with young pines, deciduous forests and fens or large water features with tees on surprising heights, give the golf course with its beautiful greens a very special character and a private difficulty.

17 Golfcourse Zuid Drenthe (120 minutes)



Located on the hotel, is the challenging Inland links course Golf course South Drenthe. Of course you can also play our 6 hole Par 3 course and the other extensive practice facilities, such as the covered and floodlit driving range, a chipping and putting area & a practice bunker, while golfing on the courses, invite the rural scenery and the beautiful nature you to enjoy.

18 Zuid Limburgse Golf & Country Club (160 minutes)



Partly a broken light and open golf course, partly a quiet woodland with sometimes not too wide fairways, located on a plateau. It is the highest course of our country and which ensures several beautiful sights.
19 Maastricht International (150 minutes)



Maastricht International Golf Golf course is hilly and has an international character because of the cross-border between two countries. The covered driving range where one can strike a ball of Netherlands to Belgium is unique. The building is partly buried and is part of the landscape by applying natural materials such as limestone, wood and brick. 
20 Noord-Brabantsche Golfclub Toxandria (60 minutes)



The Golfclub Toxandria , founded by  Charles Stulemeijer on 5 July 1928, is one of the oldest golf courses in the Netherlands. In the beginning there were only nine holes laid out by the Fa Campbell from Groenekan. The design was by J.F. Morrison, of Colt, Allison and Morrison. The course was opened on 14 september 1929. The club had already 118 members, that was  13% of the Dutch golfers.  The design of the second 9 in 1937 was the club's Secretary and was approved by Morrison. With subsidied unemployed workers those holes laid out.  More land was purchased In 1984 and the course got two new holes. Other holes have been modified and were given more space.
