Golf is becoming extremely popular in Netherlands. The number of golfers in Netherlands takes explosive and golf is one of the fastest growing sports in country. With approximately 375.000 players, golf is believed to be the third most popular sport in our country. It is almost not possible to play golf in Netherlands without a golf license or Handicap; only a few golf clubs let golfers without this evidence. These are also public golf courses. If foreigners want to play golf in Netherlands then it is important that they can demonstrate that they are members of a golf club or their handicap registration.

Netherlands is very flat, so don't expect that many will know the golf courses height difference. Most likely to find in the height difference in the province of South Limburg. The Netherlands has the highest golfer per course ratio of Europe.

The design makes optimal use of the hilly terrain with elevations up to 14 meters, water features, unique perspectives and wonderful sight lines all of which give the course an non-Dutch character. The result is a championship golf course of international stature which will provide a unique golfing experience for golfers of all levels. In 2013 The International will be host of the Dutch Ladies Open.

Kennemer Golf & Country Club is one of the best golf courses in Holland. With beautiful views and seaside this course a magnificent links courses along the dunes coast. For many years the host for the Dutch European Tour Events. The Kennemer Golf & Country Club is host for the KLM Open 2013.

3 Noordwijkse Golfclub (50 minutes)



Noordwijkse Golf Club is the number one golf course in Holland. This classic links course on undulating linksland with windy holes through the dunes and occasionally, in a Formby-like style, through pine woods. Many national and international matches are played on the Noordwijkse.

4 Royal Haagsche Golf & Country Club (50 minutes)



The Royal Hague Golf & Country Club was founded in 1893 and is the oldest golf club in the Netherlands. The 18-hole course is located in the dunes near Wassenaar approximately 3.5 km from the sea. The course is set in hilly dunes, but is perfectly biended into the natural environment and is considered to be one of the finest championship courses in the Netherlands. Each hole offers a completely different view and a new exciting challenge.  Royal Haagsche Golf & Country Club is an exacting layout which pitches and rolls across undulating land. The similarity between this Dutch links course and that of the British coastline is uncanny. The nr. 2 golf course of Holland is a pleasure to play.

5 Hilversumsche Golf club (40 minutes)



The Hilversumsche Golf Club was founded on 1 January 1910. The expansion to 18 holes, designed by the renowned Sir Harry Colt and Gerry del Court van Krimpen, was completed in 1928. The passage of time has only a limited part of the original design remained in place. Major changes include updated in 1952-1954, when the Court-in particular the par 5-hole-with help from the Scottish course architect Sir Guy Campbell.  However, the specific nature of a woodland preserved, lined by beech, oak, pine, spruce and birch, with narrow fairways, interrupted by plots Heath and other planting. For many years The Hilversumsche Golf club was host for the KLM Open
